I started by taking an interest in East Grinstead and the surrounding area as I was born here and I have lived in EG, Forest Row and now just on the border with Ashurst Wood and EG. The more I learnt, the more fascinated I became about the history and culture of this area. I then decided to record my findings on a website and so started www.East-Grinstead.com

There is little logic to the site at the moment as I am just adding bits here and there. I hope it will eventually be of interest to all who want to know something about the area.

Anyone is welcome to contribute to the site. I am looking for anything of interest about the area.

I do not mind companies promoting their services as long as the company is significant in some way. Perhaps historically. It would have to be worth creating a page about the company.

Advertising
I know they are a little annoying but they have two purposes

The advertising on the site does not and probably never will generate much money. The idea is that it will hopefully pay for the costs of hosting the site at some point.

The other point of advertising as that it is a very convenient way of automatically highlighting services in the area.
